  • Hong Kong

Well I'm sitting here in Hong Kong waiting to go to the TECO office to get my Taiwan visa for next week. It's always nice getting out of the mainland even if its for less then 24 hours. The weather seems to bother me more when I'm tired I guess there is something to it.

What else is new... I've been holding BS's in my home and have had some awesome times of sharing with the 3 Cell Church in my city. There is a real spiritual hunger in fact many people are extremely hungry for God's word but few are able to get the deep riches and truths of God's word. So something ya all can pray for.

    Well till next time...

  • From Vietnam w/Love

    Musings and thoughts from Caf?NANG

As I sit here in this crowded Vietnamese coffee shop it as if I find myself needing to write. It been quite a long time in fact for the last many months Ie been nothing more than a closed book. Maybe it the fact that I actually have some good tasting coffee in me or maybe I just appreciating it more. Whatever it is, it bringing me to a place to write and collect some thoughts.

I started my travels on January 24th. For the first few weeks I spent my time with Isaac in northern Thailand. You know hangin with Ike is a lot of fun followed by many movies and a many drive byes in Grand Theft Auto. (The sole purpose being to kill and hijack cars and stuff) yeah so it was great. I taught at a really cool Thai/ Chinese school and met some cool people. The coolest part was getting back to the kind of teaching I was able to do in Taiwan. I realized just how much I miss that place and can wait for the day that Il find myself back there. Anyways at the end of my time teaching thanks to Ike I was able to hand out some near 400 tracts to kids 200 of which have been deemed illegal by the Thai government.

From there I traveled to Cambodia. What an incredible adventure especially crossing into Poi pet well not exactly (all run by x-Khmer Rouge) but it was cool to meet some awesome Canucks (Canadians) Yankee (America) and a Surrender Monkey (French) through all of it we fought the system and won?well sort of.

From there I went to visit an Orphanage that my parents are planning on working with for a couple years and ran into a girl I met over a year ago while my rents were running the GH. Really it a small world when you meet someone on the other side of the world. More than anything it was God ordained and wel see what comes of our talks together in the future. A possible trip to Switzerland but wel see how that turns out.

After that I traveled back to Siem Reap to view the ruins of Angkor Wat. Talk about an amazing adventure in fact it?just hard to comprehend the amount of work that went into building those temples and to see them century later is very cool.

After my journeys in Cambodia I traveled to Saigon/ Ho Chi Min City where I spent a few days and met a really cool girl from China. It was awesome to see the Mekong and check out the tunnels. From there I traveled by train for 36 hours north to Hanoi where I find myself now.

Honestly with a near month of travel half of which being work I find myself exhausted. In fact visiting the Canadian Embassy today I lost it with the people there due to the stupidity of our Glorious Nation of Canada. Long story short?a five year passport is only good as long as you have pages in it. If you run out or nearly run out a year down the road that your problem and you should pay them another 130 dollars plus any fees to re-issue your current Visa as they will not give extra pages but a whole new Passport including the long stupid approval procedure of signing forms and authorization back in Canada by a doctor or other person.

So yeah that just made me tick but looking back over a cup of coffee in the end is it really going to matter? Sure I pissed at the added expense that I going to have to in-cure which at times seems impossible on the little that I make but how too often I forget that my father in Heaven own  it all and will provide in His way and through His means.
Patience and forgiveness is something I learning right now in fact that seems to be the major lesson over these last 4 months or so is patience and forgiveness. After having a lot of small bad things go my way I see it as God just refining the edges each time giving me the measure of grace that I need. Even when I fall short and fail big time He faithful.

Ok so that yeah a quick summary but God is at work and I waiting to see how He gonna direct this next year coming up.

The only verse that seems to come to mind right now??.For I know the thoughts that I have towards you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you that expected end? With that I press on knowing that no matter what else comes at me?God is here and is working.

So for those of you praying for me from time to time?thank you. Really without your prayers I probably woulde never made it this far.

  • Cambodia

I leave in two hours to start my journey into Cambodia and then Vietnam. I'll be stopping at an orphange on Monday which will be great. Please keep me in prayer mainly for protection and that I would bring Christ's love with me to those that I meet.

I finished up here at school today. It was wonderful. I was able to share bible songs with them and passed out nearly 450 tracts today. (Illegal Banned tracks in Thailand to be specific) so God is good.

    Anyways thanks for your prayers.

  • Possible Virus

It appears for now the doctors aren't sure as to what's happening with my bro. They're trying to rule out if its a virus that he's gotten. Anyways thats all I know for now but he seems to be doing well.

    Thailand still rocks...
